The ability to save secret messages is coming to Messenger

      Collected:

Messenger introduced end-to-end  feature earlier this year to keep exchanged messages private from others. As a result, all the information exchanged in the messenger is converted into a special code from the sender to the recipient. After reaching the recipient, the codes are converted back into plain messages so no one else can know them. Messenger is now going to launch a secure storage facility to save secret messages.

Messages exchanged are stored on users' devices using end-to-end encryption, Messenger's parent company Meta said. As a result, when the device is lost, the conversation history is also lost. And so Meta is working to introduce a secure storage facility to preserve the history of secret messages. Users can save the exchanged information in an end-to-end encrypted manner in Messenger as well as in various online cloud services. With end-to-end encryption, messages will stay safe even in online cloud services.

In addition to secure storage, Meta is working to provide direct end-to-end encryption with specific people in Messenger. When this facility is enabled, the end-to-end encryption facility will be automatically (built-in) without enabling the 'Secret Conversation' facility while exchanging messages with selected people. The functionality of this feature will be tested on specific users soon.
